The Story Behind Our Charm Candle Collab ✨

I am so, so, so excited to finally share my thoughts and process behind this amazing collab. This idea had been brewing (or should I say, melting?) for well over a year now.

I’ve always loved the feeling of being cozy with a beautifully scented candle burning nearby — there’s just something so magical about it. When I was first creating our Charm Bar Experience, I knew I wanted to find a way to bring that same sense of joy and surprise into how we give and receive gifts.

It all started with a question: How can I make jewelry an experience — but even more fun?

Of course, the Charm Bar itself is already such a fun, hands-on experience in person. But I wanted to go deeper — to create something that carried meaning, excitement, and a little mystery. That’s when it hit me: what if I could hide a charm inside a candle?

Imagine lighting your candle, breathing in the scent, and as the wax slowly melts, a hidden tin begins to reveal itself. In a world that moves so fast and thrives on instant gratification, I wanted to create something that feels a little nostalgic — something that smells incredible, invites you to slow down, and hides a secret treasure inside.

You’re probably wondering — why Sanctuary? Well, Chloe and I both started our small businesses around the same time and instantly became friends. I’ve always been obsessed with her products — she truly invests her time and heart into creating high-quality candles with the most amazing scents. I knew she was the girl I wanted to collaborate with.

Over the years, we’ve both grown our businesses in our own unique ways, but seeing everything she’s accomplished has been so inspiring. Bringing our expertise together to create something that combines both of our worlds — candles and jewelry — just made perfect sense. And honestly… who doesn’t love both? ✨

So how does it work? Each candle contains one of ten collectible charms, designed to clip onto your bracelet or necklace. You can even create a bundle with our Paperclip Bracelet or Necklace, which makes it perfect for gift-giving or starting your very own charm jewelry collection.

Each charm has its own little meaning; they’re the OGs of Jenny Be Free and represent what we stand for: embracing who you are, celebrating your journey, and finding joy in the little things.

The packaging perfectly blends our two small local brands — Sanctuary minimalist aesthetic + stunning scent with Jenny Be Free’s bright, playful, and colorful vibe with hypoallergenic + tarnish resistant jewelry. The scent is a signature for Jenny Be Free: a dreamy mix of Vanilla, Orange Valencia, Coconut Cream, and Sandalwood. It’s truly to die for!
